Workforce Development

Our workforce development program is designed to help our clients with job searching, job placement and, ultimately, maintaining steady employment. Research shows that an offender is less likely to re-offend if they are gainfully employed and productive community members.

We work with our clients and our partner employers to ensure that the partnership is as beneficial for the employer as it is for us. Ridge House assumes responsibility for all resident employees of the hiring company. If a situation arises on the job and there is a need for us to intervene, we promptly do so.

Career Training and Resource Development
Every client we place participates in Ridge House’s job retention courses, which focus on effective communication skills, customer service, professionalism and financial planning. We are often able to pay for additional training, certification or education required for the job. Ridge House provides necessary tools and work attire to ensure our clients are successful.
